Social Responsibility in Residential Environment and Infrastructure
The growth and development of village communities is inextricably linked to the quality of village government administration, which manages village potential and assets, as well as public services. The Company believes that business operations will not significantly impact the desired growth and development without adequate village governance. Therefore, the Company is implementing an initiative to increase the capacity of village government officials through joint studies on village governance and village governance needs assessment workshops.
The implementation of social responsibility in residential areas focuses on providing supporting infrastructure in residential areas surrounding the Company’s operational areas, which will also improve public health and the environment for the people in our areas. The Company is also constructing alternative roads in oil palm concession areas to ensure the safety, health, and comfort of road users, including employees, their families, and the local community, while also reducing the risk of traffic accidents and health problems caused by dust pollution.
Throughout 2025, DSNG will implement various infrastructure development and maintenance programs in its partner villages as part of the company’s commitment to supporting improvements in the quality of life of the community, strengthening connectivity within its operational areas, and promoting sustainable village development. All these activities were realized with a total infrastructure investment of IDR 6.67 billion.
The activities implemented included maintaining and opening village roads, repairing road surfaces and drainage, and supporting the construction of public and social facilities. This infrastructure program aims to improve public transportation access, particularly in supporting the smooth distribution of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) to the mill, opening access to new settlements, and facilitating logistical mobility and community social activities. In addition, DSNG also supports the development of educational, religious, and economic facilities in the community by assisting with site clearance, maintaining village reservoirs, and supporting village infrastructure.
