Community Economic Empowerment
The Company has implemented sustainable economic development in its operational areas. This is in line with socio-economic partnerships with stakeholders, particularly the communities surrounding its operational areas. The Company continuously facilitates community economic empowerment by providing various opportunities for participation in operational activities, including construction work, transportation services for plantations and factories, and the development of community-based financial institutions.
DSNG generates significant indirect impacts through various Credit Union (CU) mechanisms that positively influence communities and the wider social ecosystem. Key indirect impacts include:

DSNG established the Mitra Mandiri Credit Union in Muara Wahau in 2009 as an effort to improve community financial literacy, provide credit union training, and support the development of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). By 2025, the cooperative had 2,781 members with total assets of IDR 67.50 billion. This success has made it a benchmark for the establishment of other cooperatives, such as the Satu Hati Credit Union, which currently has 353 members.
