ANNOUNCEMENT: NOTICE REGARDING THE TRADEMARKS TEKA, TEKA PARQUET

PT Tanjung Kreasi Parquet Industry (“the Company”) is a manufacturer of wood flooring established in 1994 in Indonesia and a member of PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSN), a publicly listed company since 2013. The Company specializes in the production of engineered wood flooring.

The Company is the right-hand owner and holder of the following trademarks:

  1. TEKA, registered under Trademark Certificate No. IDM000696506 in Class 19, which includes the following goods: Wood Flooring (Parquet Floor), Wood Floor Coverings (Parquet Floorboards).
  2. TEKA PARQUET, registered under Trademark Certificate No. IDM000227452 in Class 19, which includes the following goods: Wood Flooring (Parquet Floor), Wood Floor Coverings (Parquet Floorboards).
  3. TEKA PARQUET FLOOR, registered under Trademark Certificate No. IDM000111362 in Class 19, which includes the following goods: Wood Flooring (Parquet Floor), Wood Floor Coverings (Parquet Floorboards).

Aligned to the above, we hereby announce to the public that, as the owner and holder of the aforementioned trademarks, the Company is the sole entity authorized to manufacture, use, trade, and distribute products bearing the trademarks TEKA, TEKA PARQUET, and TEKA PARQUET FLOOR for wood flooring (parquet floor) and wood floor coverings (parquet floor boards) in Class 19 throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.

We therefore notify and caution all manufacturers, importers, distributors, agents, and retailers not to purchase, import, store, trade, or distribute any products bearing the trademarks TEKA, TEKA PARQUET, or TEKA PARQUET FLOOR—whether identical in entirety or substantially similar—without prior authorization or if the products are not produced by the Company.

Any violation of this notice will be subject to fines and/or criminal sanctions as stipulated in Article 100 paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications:

  1. Any person who unlawfully uses a trademark identical in its entirety to a registered trademark owned by another party for similar goods and/or services that are produced and/or traded shall be subject to imprisonment of up to 5 (five) years and/or a fine of up to IDR 2,000,000,000 (two billion Rupiah).
  2. Any person who unlawfully uses a trademark substantially similar to a registered trademark owned by another party for similar goods and/or services that are produced and/or traded shall be subject to imprisonment of up to 4 (four) years and/or a fine of up to IDR 2,000,000,000 (two billion Rupiah).

This notice is hereby issued for the attention of all relevant parties.
