DSNG Achieved RSPO Excellence Awards and Forbes Asia 2023 Honors
PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) has been successfully awarded two prestigious awards at the RSPO Excellence Awards 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Forbes Asia 2023 in Manila, Philippines. This achievement marks a new milestone for the Company at the year’s end, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable business practices.

In conjunction with the RT RSPO event held at the Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, from 20-23 November 2023, attended by various RSPO members from the private sector, state-owned enterprises, civil societies, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), representatives of governments and others from all over the world. DSNG, along with two other companies, were nominated for Innovation Award 2023 category. DSNG was duly awarded the inaugural Excellence Award for Innovation by RSPO in a ceremony held at Hotel Mulia, Senayan, Jakarta on the evening of 20th November.
The Innovation Award 2023, bestowed by RSPO, recognizes companies that innovate and have a positive impact on social and the environment. DSNG presented the theme ‘An Effective Alternative Energy Transition for Community Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) Trucks’, wherein the fuel for Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) trucks, typically powered by fossil fuels, was replaced with environmentally friendly Bio-CNG, without the need to replace the entire truck fleet. Through this initiative, DSNG successfully reduced emissions by more than 5,000 tons of CO2, saved over 14,000 liters of diesel, and lowered production costs by up to $8,000 in the last four months.
In addition, DSNG received another recognition from Forbes Asia as one of the Top 200 companies, honored in Manila, Philippines, on 21 November 2023. This award is conferred upon companies in the Asia-Pacific region demonstrating sustainable long-term business performance, with annual revenues exceeding $10 million and below $1 billion US dollars. Forbes Asia’s research team analyzed over 20,000 companies to determine the Top 200.
Forbes Asia employed several indicators such as incorporated track record in debt, sales and earnings-per-share growth over both the most recent fiscal one- and three-year periods, and the strongest one- and five-year average returns on equity. Other criteria included corporate governance, responsible environmental management, and compliance with applicable regulations.
With these two awards, DSNG further solidifies its commitment to being the preferred business partner by constructing a sustainable business model for all stakeholders.
