As the industry based on natural resources operating under DSN, we pay attention to the regulation of the Republic of Indonesia, respect and grow together with surrounding communities, and place importance to environmental conservation.

DSN is committed to implement Good Corporate Governance, and to comply with the laws and rules and regulations of the Republic of Indonesia. Moreover, in the management of sustainable palm oil plantations and palm oil mills, DSN adheres to the principles and criterias of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) and the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC).

DSN treats all employees with dignity and respects the rights of employees and the principles of gender equality in accordance with the legal norms in the Republic of Indonesia.

As part of our vision to grow together with the community, DSN believes that a harmonious relationship with the communities around the plantations is very important. DSN respects human rights, including the rights of indigenous and local communities, as well as other landowners, and we implement the principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) in our land development process.

DSN ensures that palm oil production from plasma estate and third parties community estates are also included within the supply chain for the production of sustainable palm oil. DSN committed to facilitate our community partners and support them through consultation and technical guidance.

In our operations, DSN places high importance and care about the preservation of the environment around the site. This effort starts from land clearing by adapting the no-burning policy, both for new plantings and replanting. DSN also avoids development in peatlands and areas with high carbon reserves through High Carbon Stock Approach (HCSA). DSN is also committed to preserve areas that have High Conservation Value (HCV) and avoid development in such areas.

In line with the above statements, DSN seeks an ongoing basis to obtain the best method in order to preserve biodiversity and natural forest vegetation including a ban on hunting of protected animals and prevention of environmental pollution around the plantations.
